I served some appetizers so, my daughter got creative and embossed the napkins for me...
To keep things simple, before the class party, I folded the cards, cut the cardstock and made the embellies, like these punched butterfly with faux pearl centers.
I separated the materials for each card into a cute baggie.
For the first time ever, I went to Pinterest for some clean and simple (CAS) card inspiration. I don't do a lot of CAS cards, so I needed help with layouts lol! The ladies did great with the first card, a bowtie and shirt combo for Father's Day, inspired by this card. I found the free bowtie printable here.
They got to emboss and stamp a little with this second Pinterest-inspired butterfly card found here.
This looks like such fun…I'd LOVE to enjoy one of your card making classes and how fun that you did this for charity. You're such a giving and inspirational lady, Kimberly. I do craft for charity each year I donate the $ from several of my sold items to the Multiple Sclerosis Society a fund raiser we've been involved in for the past 7 years. It's a great feeling to give back. Sweet hugs my friend!
ReplyDeleteHa Donna K, I'm not sure how much I can teach you, my card-making guru! Love that you craft for the MS Society; it is a joy t be able to give back by doing something we love, isn't it?
DeleteI think that this is an awesome idea!!! On a monthly basis I craft for a cause as well for the I feel the love project. Last week I entered a FB group called Cards for Kids. I am super excited about this. I will be making and sending 8 kiddos cards. The cards are TOTALLY cute!

Migdalia, I will have to look up that FB group; those are some fortunate kids to be getting a special card from you!!! I am sure they will treasure them.
DeleteHi Kimberly, I am the Content Manager for a few cardmaking websites, on which we like to feature timely cards and techniques, as well as cardmaking and paper craft events. I came across this post and think its a wonderful idea and way to give back using your cardmaking skills. I was wondering if we could feature your post/idea on our site? We would link our post back to your website as well.
ReplyDeletePlease let me know if this is okay. You can email me at admin@cardmaking.today. I'd love to hear from you and feature this post!
Thank you,
Caroline
